Q2 2020 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Effingham County?

There were 11 offenders released on parole during the second quarter of 2020 that live in Effingham County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Galesburg Reporter.

The data shows that 10 men and one woman were released in Effingham County. The median age of the parolees was 33. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2018, and the oldest was a 49-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2019.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Matthew M. Rauch. He was convicted of a crime against a person in 2015 when he was 25 years old. He is now 30.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter of 2020 in each Effingham County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
