McDonough County Finance Committee met Oct. 14.

The monthly Finance Committee meeting was held at 6:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, Courtroom 201. Committee members present were Chair Travis Hiel, Vice Chair Larry Aurelio, Letha Clark, Dave Cortelyou, Mike Cox, and Dave Nissen. Member Rod McGrew was absent. Others in attendance included Keith Krohe, County Chair Scott Schwerer, and County Clerk Gretchen DeJaynes.
Chair Hiel called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
Review and Approve Minutes from September 9, 2020
Vice Chair Aurelio moved with a second by Member Nissen to approve the minutes as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.
MCPT Report Review & Approval
The monthly request for September 2020 was reviewed. Member Clark moved with a second by Member Nissen to approve the MCPT Report in the amount of $1,015.50 for September, 2020. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Bushnell Senior Meals Report Review & Approval
The monthly report for September 2020 from the YMCA for transportation of senior meals was reviewed. Vice Chair Aurelio moved with a second by Member Cortelyou to approved the September 2020 YMCA report in the amount of $719.11. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Coroner Report
The monthly Coroner Report was received and filed.
Monthly Financial Reports
The monthly Financial Reports were received and filed.
Transfer of Funds
None.
Insurance Update
Keith Krohe with Crossroads Insurance presented an insurance report for renewal on Symetra. Krohe said that the plan is running well, it is running $21,000.00 more this year than it was at this time last year. Symetra Insurance, Re-Insurance is $17,501.00 more than last year. Finance Committee decided to send to full Board for approval of Symetra Renewal.
Warrants Issued in Vacation
Vice Chair Aurelio moved with a second by Member Clark to approve the Warrants Issued in Vacation. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Approve FY 2020/2021 Budget and Levy
Vice Chair Aurelio moved with a second by Member Nissen to approve the FY 2020/2021 Budget and Levy. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Approval of Claims
Member Clark moved with a second by Member Aurelio to approve the Claims as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.

None.
County Board Chair Comments
County Chair Schwerer informed the Committee that the auditors will be attending the full board meeting this month on the 21st. Schwerer expressed his concern about the increase in positive covid tests.

Vice Chair Aurelio moved with a second by Member Cortelyou to adjourn the meeting at 6:33 p.m.
