The Monmouth-Roseville C.U.S.D. # 238 Board of Education met in a special meeting at 7:00 p.m., via Google Meet from the Superintendent’s Office in the District Office, 105 North E Street, Monmouth, IL. The roll was read and the following Members responded: Brooks, Killey, Sells, Trego, and Watson (5). Member Froelich arrived at 7:05 p.m. Roll Call # 1

ACTION ON RESOLUTION REFERENCE THE HONORABLE DISMISSAL OF 11 LONG ROUTE BUS DRIVERS
The Superintendent presented the following Resolution for Board consideration:
RESOLUTION REFERENCE THE HONORABLE DISMISSAL OF CERTAIN EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT PERSONNEL
WHEREAS, the Board of Education of Monmouth-Roseville Community Unit School District No. 238, upon request, has received reports and recommendations from members of the District’s administrative staff regarding educational support personnel staffing for the 2020-2021 school year; and
WHEREAS, the reports and recommendations so received have been considered, studied and accepted by the Board of Education; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Education finds and determines that, as a result of sound financial and educational planning, it is in the best interest of Monmouth-Roseville Community Unit School District No. 238 that there be a decrease in the number of educational support personnel, resulting in the honorable dismissal of eleven (11) Long Route Bus Drivers employees for the 2020-2021 school year, including any extra-duty assignments and corresponding stipends for the 2020-2021 school year and thereafter;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Board of Education of Monmouth-Roseville Community Unit School District No. 238 as follows:
Section 1. The Board hereby finds that all of the recitals contained in the preamblesto this Resolution are full, true and correct and does incorporate them into this Resolution by this reference.
Section 2. That as a result of the decrease in the number of educational support personnel for the 2020-2021 school year, DAN ANDERSON, ROGER GRANT, ROD WALLER, PATRICK THOMAS, MARK BLINDT, ROBIN GODSIL, TOM LEATH, HARRYBYCROFT, LEILA BRITT, ROGER STILL and ROSE RUSSELL are hereby honorably dismissed as employees in and for this District; said honorable dismissals to be effective on October 4, 2020.
Section 3. That the Superintendent is hereby directed and authorized to prepare written notices of honorable dismissal for signature by the President and Secretary of the Board of Education; that following the signing of said written notices, the Superintendent is hereby directed and authorized to mail said notices to DAN ANDERSON, ROGER GRANT, ROD WALLER, PATRICK THOMAS, MARK BLINDT, ROBIN GODSIL, TOM LEATH, HARRYBYCROFT, LEILA BRITT, ROGER STILL and ROSE RUSSELL by regular mail and to additionallydeliver to DAN ANDERSON, ROGER GRANT, ROD WALLER, PATRICK THOMAS, MARK BLINDT, ROBIN GODSIL, TOM LEATH, HARRY BYCROFT, LEILA BRITT, ROGER STILL and ROSE RUSSELL said notices by one of the following methods:

ACTION ON RESOLUTION REFERENCE THE HONORABLE REDUCTION IN HOURS OF 6 CAFETERIA WORKERS
The Superintendent presented the following Resolutions for Board consideration:
RESOLUTION REFERENCE HONORABLE REDUCTION IN EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT PERSONNEL RESPONSIBILITIES
WHEREAS, the Board of Education of Monmouth-Roseville Community Unit School District No. 238 has requested and has received and considered recommendations from members of the District’s administrative staff regarding educational support personnel staffing for the 2020- 2021 school year; and
WHEREAS, the recommendations of the administration establish that there should be a reduction in the assignments and duties of one (1) educational support employee for the 2020-2021 school year and an attendant adjustment in the status of the employment of certain educational support personnel, all being a result of sound educational and financial planning; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Education finds and determines that, as a result of sound educational and financial planning it is in the best interests of the District to accept the administrative recommendations heretofore made and thereby honorably reduce one (1) twenty seven and one-half (27.5) hour Non-Instructional Aide educational support personnel employee’s position to a twenty-five (25) hour Cafeteria Worker position effective on October 4, 2020;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Board of Education of Monmouth-Roseville Community Unit School District No. 238 as follows:
Section 1. The Board hereby finds that all of the recitals contained in the preamblesto this Resolution are full, true and correct and does incorporate them into this Resolution by this reference.
Section 2. That one (1) twenty-seven and one-half (27.5) hour Non-Instructional Aide educational support personnel employee’s position is hereby honorably reduced to a twenty-five (25) hour Cafeteria Worker educational support personnel position, so that SUSAN BETHELL will become a twenty-five (25) hour Cafeteria Worker employee effective on October 4, 2020.
Section 3. That as a result of the honorable reduction of said position, SUSAN BETHELL is hereby honorably reduced to a twenty-five (25) hour Cafeteria Worker educational support personnel employee in and for this District; said honorable reduction to be effective on October 4, 2020.
Section 4. That for the school year 2020-2021, SUSAN BETHELL shall be paid wages consistent with the pay of other educational support employees of like rank and responsibility and hours.
Section 5. That the honorable reduction of SUSAN BETHELL will in no way affect her rights and status as educational support personnel employee in and for Monmouth-Roseville Community Unit School District No. 238.
Section 6. The Superintendent is hereby directed and authorized to prepare a written notice of honorable reduction for signature by the President and Secretary of the Board of Education; that following the signing of said written notice, the Superintendent is hereby directed and authorized to mail said notice to SUSAN BETHELL by regular mail and to additionally deliver to SUSAN BETHELL said notice by either one of the following methods:
1. By personally serving said notice on the above-referenced employee and receiving a receipt for such notice signed by the employee, so that the said SUSAN BETHELL receives said notice at least thirty (30) days before the effective date of the reduction, or

Section 3. That as a result of the honorable reduction of said position, GINGER SPENCER is hereby honorably reduced to a sixteen and one-half (16.5) hour educational support personnel employee in and for this District; said honorable reduction to be effective on October 4, 2020.
Section 4. That for the school year 2020-2021, GINGER SPENCER shall be paid wages consistent with the pay of other educational support employees of like rank and responsibility and hours.
Section 5. That the honorable reduction of GINGER SPENCER will in no way affect her rights and status as educational support personnel employee in and for Monmouth-Roseville Community Unit School District No. 238.
Section 6. That one (1) thirty (30) hour Hourly Driver educational support personnel employee’s position is hereby honorably reduced to a fifteen (15) hour Cafeteria Worker educational support personnel position, so that TRACY SMITH will become a fifteen (15) hour Cafeteria Worker employee effective on October 4, 2020.
Section 3. That as a result of the honorable reduction of said position, TRACY SMITH is hereby honorably reduced to a fifteen (15) hour Cafeteria Worker educational support personnel employee in and for this District; said honorable reduction to be effective on October 4, 2020.

1. By personally serving said notice on the above-referenced employee and receiving a receipt for such notice signed by the employee, so that the said TRACY SMITH receives said notice at least thirty (30) days before the effective date of the reduction, or

WHEREAS, the Board of Education of Monmouth-Roseville Community Unit School District No. 238 has requested and has received and considered recommendations from members of the District’s administrative staff regarding educational support personnel staffing for the 2020- 2021 school year; and
WHEREAS, the recommendations of the administration establish that there should be a reduction in the assignments and duties of one (1) educational support employee for the 2020-2021 school year and an attendant adjustment in the status of the employment of certain educational support personnel, all being a result of sound educational and financial planning; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Education finds and determines that, as a result of sound educational and financial planning it is in the best interests of the District to accept the administrative recommendations heretofore made and thereby honorably reduce one (1) sixteen and one-quarter (16.25) hour educational support personnel employee’s position to a twelve and one-half (12.5) hour position effective on October 4, 2020;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Board of Education of Monmouth-Roseville Community Unit School District No. 238 as follows:
