O'Quawka Volunteer Fire Department responded to 10 calls in 2018 - 900 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Oquawka included 10 fires - four structure fires and six other fires.

In all, the department saw $250,000 in fire loss - or about $25,000 per fire.
