Maquon Fire Protection District responded to nine calls in 2018 - 40 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Maquon included eight fires - three structure fires, one vehicle fire and four other fires.

In all, the department saw $5,010 in fire loss - or about $626 per fire.

The department also received one false call.

The Maquon Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $55,280 in 2018.
