Oneida-Wataga FPD responds to 15 fires in 2018

O'Neida-wataga Fire Protection District responded to 18 calls in 2018 - 14.3 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Oneida-Wataga included 15 fires - four structure fires, four vehicle fires and seven other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $44,500 in fire loss - or about $2,967 per fire.

The department also received two false calls.

The O'Neida-wataga Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $213,236 in 2018.
