Alexis Fire Protection District responded to 26 calls in 2018 - 13.3 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Alexis included 24 fires - three structure fires, two vehicle fires and 19 other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $43,250 in fire loss - or about $1,802 per fire.

The department also received one false call.

The calls resulted in two civilian non-fire deaths.

The Alexis Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $268,564 in 2018.
