Fulton County Health Committee met July 8.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

1. Call to Order: 3:45 p.m.

2. Roll Call; Laura Kessel, present; Susan Duquenne, present; Mary Deushane, present; Cindy Arnett, present; Warren Potter, Absent

3. Call for Additions/Deletions To and Approval of the Meeting Agenda: None, Mary Deushane made a motion to accept the agenda, 2nd by Susan Duquenne. Roll Call vote: Laura Kessel, aye; Susan Duquenne, aye; Mary Deushane, aye; Cindy Arnett, aye.

4. Announcements, Communications and Correspondence – All Health Facilities: None

5. Public Remarks: None

Members of the Public who wish to address the Board must provide the Chairperson with prior written notice of their intent to speak. The written notice shall identify the name and address of the speaker, as well as a short statement indicating the speaker’s topic. Each citizen is limited to five (5) minutes. Citizen’s remarks shall not exceed 30 minutes per meeting.

6. Review of Minutes from Previous Month’s Meeting: Mary Deushane made a motion to accept the minutes, 2nd by Susan Duquenne. Roll Call vote: Laura Kessel, aye; Susan Duquenne, aye; Mary Deushane, aye; Cindy Arnett, aye.

7. Claims/Review of Accounts’ Payable Items – All Health Facilities: Mary Deushane made a motion to pay claims, 2nd by Susan Duquenne. Roll Call vote: Laura Kessel, aye; Susan Duquenne, aye; Mary Deushane, aye; Cindy Arnett, aye

8. Transfer of Funds – All Health Facilities: None

9. Immediate Emergency Appropriations – All Health Facilities: None

10. Resolutions for Board Meeting – All Health Facilities: None

11. Old Business

1. Discussion/Action: Financial Update – Previous Month’s Facility Data Review

1. Admissions/Census (Clayberg): handouts – started the month with 41, 2 admits and 3 discharges ended with 41. One discharge was on the 1st.

2. Accounts’ Receivable/Aging (Clayberg): handouts, reviewed the monthly information with the committee. Also reviewed the information received from the treasures office which is also included in the handouts.

3. Facility Operational Status Updates (Clayberg): Still haven’t replaced the maintenance assistant. COVID testing being done for all staff per State mandates. All testing has come back Negative. Have been cleaning out garage and sheds this week. will have maintenance supervisor clean out his area upon his return from vacation.

12. New Business

1. Discussion/Action: Cass Putman Rescue Squad Fundraiser – Friday, July 17, 4:00pm-6:30pm: Laura explained the financial hardships the Rescue Squad is facing and the need for all the assistance we can offer. They have the volunteers, they need assistance with funds for gas and PPE.

2. Discussion/Action: Facility Capital Improvement Projects

1. Solar Panel Project – Project complete awaiting Ameren sign off: they flipped the switch so we are now active but haven’t received the final sign off. We did receive a FOIA request from a trade union, we sent what information we had, but since the FOIA request didn’t actually pertain to the Clayberg, we didn’t have much information to send.

3. Discussion/Action: Health Committee – Important Upcoming Dates

1. Next Health Committee Meeting (Wednesday, August 5, 2020, scheduled for 3:45pm at The County Board office)

13. Adjournment: Mary Deushane made a motion to adjourn, 2nd by Susan Duquenne. Roll Call vote: Laura Kessel, aye; Susan Duquenne, aye; Mary Deushane, aye; Cindy Arnett, aye. Adjourned at 4:10 p.m.
