McDonough County ESDA & Claims Committee met July 14.

The ESDA & Claims Committee held its monthly meeting at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, 2nd Floor Main Courtroom. Committee Members present were Chair Dave Nissen, Vice Chair Letha Clark, Joe Erlandson, Dick Marcott, Trevor Toland, Travis Hiel, Julie Melvin and Ken Durkin. Also present was ESDA Director Edgar Rodriguez, County Board Chair Scott Schwerer, County Clerk DeJaynes and Patrick Stout.
Chair Nissen called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Approval of June 16, 2020 Minutes
Member Erlandson moved, with a second by Durkin, to approve the June 16, 2020 minutes as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.
ESDA Director Report
Moved the EOC to Tanner Hall. 109 cases, 5 active cases. Using two labs for testing, turn around time is 48-72 hours. Hospital prepares to expand if needed. County has PPE supplies, Rodriguez is going to supply PPE for elections. He is applying to several funding sources. Edgar believes there is a deficiency in contact tracing by Health Department, he would like simple stats from the Health Department, and has not been getting it. He has concern that the Health Department is not doing sufficient contact tracing when school starts. Rodriguez says most people are willing to share information with the Health Department.
Memorandum of Understanding McDonough County Alert System
None.
Approval of Claims
Member Marcott moved, with a second by Member Hiel, to approve the claims as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Chair Schwerer complimented Edgar Rodriguez on the great job he is doing.
Adjourn
Vice Chair Clark moved to adjourn the meeting, with a second by Member Erlandson. With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 7:33 p.m.
