Fulton County Public Safety & Campground Committee met June 9.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

1. Call to Order

Time: 5:30pm

MEMBERS:

2. Roll Call

Roll call was taken, quorum was present

3. Call for Additions/Deletions To and Approval of the Agenda

Member Bohler moved to approve the agenda with a second from Member Thompson. Motion carried by voice vote with all voting ayes.

4. Approval of Previous Minutes – March 10, 2020

Member Bohler moved to approve the minutes from March 10, 2020 with a second from Member Arnett. Motion carried by voice vote with all voting ayes.

5. Announcements, Communications and Correspondence – None

6. Public Remarks – None

7. Policies – None

8. Declaration of Surplus Property– None

9. Claims

a. Sheriff

Sheriff Standard reported the total Sheriff claims were $8,718.31. Member Strandberg moved to approve the claims with a second from Member Thompson. Motion carried by roll call vote (5-0).

b. Jail

Sheriff Standard reported the total Jail claims were $20,354.11. Member Bohler moved to approve the claims with a second from Member Strandberg. Motion carried by roll call vote (5-0).

c. Animal Control

Sheriff Standard reported the total Animal Control claims were $1,489.79. Member Bohler moved to approve the claims with a second from Member Arnett. Motion carried by roll call vote (5-0).

d. Merit

Sheriff Standard reported the total Merit claims were $1,392.98. Member Bohler moved to approve the claims with a second from Member Thompson. Motion carried by roll call vote (5-0).

10. ESDA

a. ESDA Claims

Sheriff Standard reported the total ESDA claims were $3,357.49. Member Bohler moved to approve the claims with a second from Member Strandberg. Motion carried by roll call vote (5-0).

a. Discussion/Action: Authorizing Sheriff Standard to sign for Jail door Grant

Member Strandberg moved to approve Authorizing Sheriff Standard to sign for Jail door Grant with a second from Member Bohler. Motion carried by voice vote with all voting ayes.

CAMPGROUND

13. Campground

a. Campground Claims

Member Strandberg moved to approve the Campground claims with a second from Member Bohler. Motion carried by voice vote with all voting ayes.

b. Tourism Council Claims

Member Bohler moved to approve the Tourism Council claims with a second from Member Deushane. Motion carried by voice vote with all voting ayes.

16. Fulton County Camping and Rec

a. Superintendent’s Report

Superintendent Young thanked Sheriff Standard for the truck that was donated to the Campground.

Young also reported the that 140 people are on the waitlist at the Campground for camp sites. The second round of new camp site bidding will start the week of May 25th. Currently there are 19 camp sites with electric and 22 non–electric camp sites.

Currently the Campground has five campers that have ongoing court proceedings. A follow up report will be given in July.

The water station and dump stations are open at the campground with social distancing and sanitization regimen in place.

Superintendent Young reported that he has been attending the Fulton County Outdoor Committee meetings that are once a month. The objective of the Fulton County Outdoor Committee is to improve branding and tourism in Fulton County.

Campers are allowed during the day to fish but no overnight stays are permitted at this time.

Mowing at the campground is back on schedule.

A new dock is scheduled to be installed next week permitting the lakes levels are conducive.
