2 Effingham County residents in their thirties test positive for COVID-19 on July 29

Two Effingham County residents in their thirties tested positive for COVID-19 on July 29, according to numbers being reported by the Illinois Department of Public Health.

In total, there have been 15 positive cases reported in Effingham County among residents in their thirties, accounting for 20.5 percent of all cases in the county. Through July 29, Effingham County has reported a total of 73 confirmed cases of the coronavirus, one of which has ended with the victim's death.

Illinois gathers all of their COVID-19 data from across the state electronically. The reported cases and deaths will fluctuate as additional info is gathered. Chicago was home to one of the first known cases of COVID-19 in the US, as well as it's transmission.
