Knoxville Community Unit School District 202 Board of Education met May 18.

The Board of Education of Community Unit School District #202, Knox County, met in a regular meeting duly called and held at 6:00 p.m. at 809 East Main Street, Knoxville, Illinois, which is within the boundaries of said District. The President called the meeting to order and directed that the roll be called. Upon roll being called, the following members were found to be present:
Mr. Ericson, Mr. Johnson, Mr. Lenz, Mrs. McCracken, Mrs. Myers, Mr. Stearns and Mr. Callahan
And the following absent:
3. Recognition of Visitors: Chris Duncan, John Pulliam, Nick Ischer, Sarah Shelly, Mike Simkins, Bryan Murray, Lisa Pomazal
4. Also present were: Steve Wilder, Joe Burgess
5. It was moved by Member Johnson and seconded by Member Myers to approve Consent Agenda Items 5.1-5.10.
Roll call vote was as follows:
AYE: Mr. Ericson, Mr. Johnson, Mr. Lenz, Mrs. McCracken, Mrs. Myers, Mr. Stearns and Mr. Callahan

6.3 Superintendent’s Report:
6.3.1 E-Learning update: May 21st is the last official day of school and still unsure about 2020-2021 school year. Graduation parade was a success, diplomas would be handed out this week. Board gave credit to Mr. Bahnks and Mrs. Smith for planning and organization of the parade.
6.3.2 Tentative Amended Budget Presentation: Board discussed the tentative budget.
6.4 Board Committee Reports
6.4.1 Building - Discussion of solar array at Mable Woolsey.
6.4.2 Curriculum - No report.
6.4.3 Finance - Meet with insurance company.
6.4.4 Transportation- No report.

8.1 It was moved by Member Stearns and seconded by Member Myers for Approval to Renew IASB membership for 2020-2021 School Year.

8.2 It was moved by Member Johnson and seconded by Member Stearns for Approval to Renew IESA membership for the 2020-2021 School Year.

8.3 It was moved by Member Johnson and seconded by Member Ericson for Approval of Milk Bids for the 2020-2021 School Year..

8.4 It was moved by Member Ericson and seconded by Member Johnson for Approval of Bread Bids for the 2020-2021 School Year.

8.5 It was moved by Member Stearns and seconded by Member Lenz for Approval of Fuel Bids for the 2020-2021 School Year.

Whereupon the President declared the motion failed.
8.6 It was moved by Member Myers and seconded by Member Johnson for Approval of Health Insurance Renewal for the 2020-2021 School Year.

Whereupon the President declared the motion carried.
8.7 It was moved by Member Stearns and seconded by Member Johnson for Approval of Tentative Amended Fiscal Year 2020 Budget.
AYE: Mr. Ericson, Mr. Johnson, Mr. Lenz, Mrs. McCracken, Mrs. Myers, Mr. Stearns and Mr. Callahan.

Whereupon the President declared the motion carried.

10. It was moved by Member Ericson and seconded by Member Johnson to go into Closed Session at 7:30 p.m.

Whereupon the President declared the motion carried.
It was moved by Member Ericson and seconded by Member Lenz to go back to Open Session at 8:29 p.m.

11. It was moved by Member Ericson and seconded by Member Lenz to Table Non-Certified Wages & Salaries for the 2020-2021 School Year, it will be revisited at the June 2, 2020 Special meeting.

12. It was moved by Member Lenz and seconded by Member Ericson to Table Administrative Salaries for the 2020-2021 school year, it will be revisited at the June 2, 2020 Special meeting.

13.Adjournment
There being no further business to come before the Board, it was moved by Member Ericson and seconded by Member Johnson that the meeting be adjourned. The President put the question to the Board and the motion unanimously carried and the meeting so adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
