McDonough County Elms/Building and Grounds Committee met June 9.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

The Elms/Building and Grounds Committee met at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was held via Zoom Call. Committee members in attendance included Chair Larry Aurelio, Vice Chair Marcia Twaddle, Lee Calvert, Terra Litchfield, Bob Mahr, Paul Trimmer, Dave Cortelyou and Deckle McLean. Others in attendance included County Board Chair Scott Schwerer, Elms Administrator Tim Bledsoe, Patrick Stout and County Clerk DeJaynes.

Chair Aurelio called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Farm Report

County Chair Schwerer told the Committee there was 1⁄2 inch of rain at the farm.

Administrator’s Report

Elms Administrator Tim Bledsoe gave the report. Census is at 67, with 6 being Medicare A, 0 Medicare B, 17 private pay, 2 Hospice Private, 4 Hospice Medicaid, 37 Medicaid. ADC 67 and Turnover percentage is 5.94%. Agency hours, 0 and Agency Cost, $0. Medicaid owes $332,181.11. Medicare owes $255,938.32. In May admissions: Home 6, Nursing home 1, Assisted Living 0, Acute Care Hospital 4 and Private 2. May discharges: Home 2, Funeral Home 3, Group Home 0 Acute Care Hospital 0, Assisted Living 2.

Financial Report

Member Twaddle moved with a second by Member McLean to approve the April 2020 Financial Reports. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Elms Claims

Member Mahr moved with a second by Member Calvert to approve the Elm’s claims as submitted. Motion carried with a roll call vote of 8 yeas, 0 nays, 0 vacant and 0 absent.

Macomb Public Building Commission

Gutters at the Elms are complete.

Zahrn Building

No Report.

McDonough County Maintenance Directors Report

No Report.

Building and Grounds Claims

Member Trimmer moved with a second by Member Mahr to approve the April Building and Grounds Claims. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Member Litchfield moved and Member Mahr with a second to adjourn the meeting at 7:24 p.m. Motion carried on a voice vote.
