Q3 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Knox County?

There were 16 offenders released on parole during the third quarter of 2019 that live in Knox County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Galesburg Reporter.

The data shows that 15 men and one woman were released in Knox County. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age is 33. The youngest parolee was a 20-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2019, and the oldest was a 60-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Larry W. Pearcy. He was convicted of a crime against a person in 2013 when he was 27 years old. He is now 34.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
