McDonough County Road & Bridge Committee met Thursday, May 7.

The McDonough County Road and Bridge Committee held their monthly meeting at 7:00 P.M. The meeting was held via Zoom call. Committee Members present included Chair Trevor Toland, Vice Chair Dave Cortelyou, Rod McGrew, Mike Cox, Dick Marcott, Marcia Twaddle, Ken Durkin, and George Dixon. Other persons in attendance: Rick Walker, Patrick Stout, County Chair Scott Schwerer, County Clerk Gretchen DeJaynes, Dave Cadwalader, and Mike Kirby.
Chair Trevor Toland called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.
Review Minutes from April 2, 2020
No meeting on April 2, 2020, None.
20-00000-00-GM-IDOT APPR 4/29 in discussions o/obligations
Engineer Walker presented that they are in discussion with IDOT on differences. They are taking material bid prices and the lowest cost of the prices. We are trying to figure it out.
08-00103-00-BR Update
Engineer Walker will present more pictures, but to give an idea, so the Committee can see a lot more being built out there. It is going well and no big surprises or cost overruns yet.
Cardinal Point Wind Development Update
Engineer Walker said the Townships have got their post construction checks. The other part of the project is putting in culverts now, probably at the end of May they will start and by June be turning those over to the townships. McDonough and Warren County have not received their checks yet.
Rebuild Illinois
Capital bill pushed through, there was a second component to that and it was selling a dispensing to local agencies of bonds and there was $1.5 billion worth of bonds set aside and the bonds were supposed to be sold $500 million dollars a year in two different intervals and those proceeds would be dispensed to all the local agencies by the MFT formula. So, basically, we will be getting six checks over the next three years out of those proceeds, us and the townships.

Member Marcott motioned to approve Resolution 20-00000-00-PV, Member Durkin seconded. Motion carried on voice vote.
19-00111-00-RS-CH 24 Resurfacing Engineering Agreement
Member Cox motioned to Approve Resolution 19-00111-00-RS, Member Twaddle seconded. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Project 1745-10 Hire Township Box Culvert Replacement
Member Marcott motioned to Approve Resolution Project 1745-10, Member McGrew seconded. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Project 2054-34 Scotland Township Culvert Replacement
Member Twaddle motioned to approve Project 2054-34, Member Durkin seconded. Highway Department will make cover for repair. Motion carried on a voice vote.
April Work Report
Report given by Dave Cadwalader.
Claims
Member McGrew moved with a second by Member Durkin to approve the claims submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Other Business
County Chair gave an update on Covid-19 tests and numbers.

With no further business to discuss, Member McGrew moved to adjourn the meeting, second by Member Marcott at 7:46 p.m. Motion carried on a voice vote.
