Williamsfield Community Unit School District 210 Board met March 12.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

1. The meeting was called to order by Board President Stewart.

2. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

3. Roll Call was taken. All members were present online except April Bouchez and Brian Howard.

4. There was an opportunity for public comment. Anyone wishing to comment could email the comment to Mr. Farquer by 3pm Friday. No comments were fielded.

5. The Consent Agenda was unanimously approved.

All items listed under the consent agenda are considered to be routine by the Board of Education and will be enacted by one motion. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a board member requests, in which event the item will be removed from the consent agenda and considered individually.

Consent Agenda Items

a. Approval of April bills

b. Approval of minutes of regular Board of Education meeting on March 9, 2020

c. Approval of Billtown Cafe participation in local food purchase cooperative

6. The Emergency Food Kit operation was discussed. The BOE moved to continue the volunteer operation through the end of the school year (May 15).

7. The district Remote Learning Program was discussed and approved.

8. Updates to the School Calendar were discussed and the end-of-year calendar of student/staff school and work days were approved. We will continue to study activities such as High School Graduation, Senior Trip, and Prom to determine the best course of action as our unprecedented circumstance continues to unfold.

9. Discussion and approval of contract with Hein Construction for completion of Health Life Safety pavement work (north & west entrance accessibility) in the amount of $35,500 was approved. Work is scheduled to begin shortly and completed prior to May 4th.

10. Mr. Farquer provided the monthly administrative report.

11. The meeting adjourned.
