CALL TO ORDER
The regular meeting of the United Board of Education was called to order at 6:00 p.m. via Google Hangouts. Member in attendance - Dana Poole Members in attendance remotely - Aaron Leary, Hank Shimmin, Joel Johnson, and Debbie King. Also in attendance remotely - , Pat Coate, Amy Schmitz & Maggie Wallace.
AGENDA
Hank Shimmin made a motion to approve the agenda with a second by Debbie King. Roll Call: Aye – Dana Poole, Aaron Leary, Hank Shimmin, Joel Johnson, and Debbie King. Nay – none.
Budget Amendment
A motion to amend the FY20 budget by $300,000 in the O&M Fund and $5000 in the IMRF/SS fund and setting budget hearing for June 25, 2020 at 6 PM was made by Hank Shimmin with a second by Debbie King.
Roll Call: Aye – Dana Poole, Aaron Leary, Hank Shimmin, Joel Johnson, and Debbie King. Nay – none.
LOI Extension
A motion to extend the Letter of Intent with SimpleRay Solar to Dec. 31, 2020 was made by Debbie King with a second by Aaron Leary. Roll Call: Aye – Dana Poole, Aaron Leary, Hank Shimmin, Joel Johnson, and Debbie King. Nay – none.
Elem Handbook
A motion to accept the elementary handbook changes as presented (attached) was made by Aaron Leary with a second by Joel Johnson Aye – Dana Poole, Aaron Leary, Hank Shimmin, Joel Johnson, and Debbie King. Nay – none.
Rebuild IL grant
A motion to approve application for a Rebuild IL Grant was made by Hank Shimmin with a second by Debbie King. Roll Call: Aye – Dana Poole, Aaron Leary, Hank Shimmin, Joel Johnson, and Debbie King. Nay – none.
CONSENT AGENDA
A resolution to approve the consent agenda as presented was made by Aaron Leary with a second by Hank Shimmin. Roll Call: Aye – Dana Poole, Kristin Dutton, Craig Allaman, Joel Johnson, Aaron Leary, Hank Shimmin and Debbie King. Nay – none.
Closed Session

Employment
A motion to employ Megan Bailey as elementary teacher for the 2020-2021 school year pending completion of Illinois License requirements was made by Aaron Leary with a second by Joel Johnson. Roll Call: Aye – Dana Poole, Aaron Leary, Joel Johnson, and Debbie King. Nay – none. Hank Shimmin abstained
