McDonough County ESDA & Claims Committee met March 17.

The ESDA & Claims Committee held its monthly meeting beginning at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, 2nd Floor Main Courtroom.
Committee Members present were Chair Dave Nissen, Vice Chair Letha Clark, Joe Erlandson, Dick Marcott, Trevor Toland and Ken Durkin. Members Julie Melvin and Travis Hiel were absent. Also present was ESDA Director Edgar Rodriguez, County Board Chair Scott Schwerer, and Patrick Stout.
Chair Nissen called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Approval of February 18, 2020 Minutes Member Erlandson moved, with a second by Vice Chair Clark, to approve the February 18, 2020 minutes as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.
ESDA Director Report ESDA Director Edgar Rodriguez gave report. Training is paying off now. Daily meetings with MDH. Friday the Health Department opened Emergency Center Command. No confirmed cases in McDonough County, MDH has a temp tent set up in front of the Emergency Room Entrance. WIU closed operations, added another week on to Spring Break. Students that arrived back in the states from Denmark are quarantined, self contained.
Memorandum of Understanding McDonough County Alert System Memorandum of Understanding McDonough County Alert System with the City of Bushnell and McDonough County Health Department. Member Toland moved to accept Memorandum of Understanding McDonough County Alert System and send to full Board, Member Durkin seconded. Motioned carried on a voice vote.
ESDA Claims Member Durkin motioned to pass the ESDA Claims as submitted, seconded by Member Toland. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Approval of Claims Member Toland moved, with a second by Vice Chair Clark, to approve the claims as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Other Chair Schwerer explained to the Committee that he is going to try a conference call for the Board meeting tomorrow evening. This is a new thing, but because the Governor’s orders this is what we had to do.
Adjourn Vice Chair Clark moved to adjourn the meeting, with a second by Member Durkin. With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 7:44 p.m.
