Williamsfield Elem School issued the following announcement on April 23.
Our Williamsfield Schools Senior Spotlight Today is Phillip Michael Gibbs Gehring
Upon Graduation from Williamsfield Schools, Phillip plans to join the Union Hall 649 Apprenticeship Training Program and become a Heavy Equipment Operator. Anyone who knows Phillip is aware that he loves the outdoors and is an avid fisherman. Phillip’s favorite color is red. His favorite memory from High School? “Making a dance video for Mr. Newman’s Chocolate Milk Grant. I was the star performer.” This comes as no surprise, as Phillip is a fun-loving, well-rounded young man. His advice to underclassmen: “Cherish your time at school. It goes by fast. Be involved with the organizations provided- you never know who you will meet along the way.” Throughout school, Phillip has been involved in many organizations. In fact, this past year, Phillip won his placement in the FFA Record Book Contest, moving forward to receive his State Degree. Sponsors of all the organizations to which Phillip belongs can attest that he is a key member of any team. Phillip can always be relied upon to lend a helping hand with a smile on his face. He positively impacts any group to which he belongs. This can be attributed to Phillips desire to make the most out of life. His favorite quote pretty much sums it up. “Live every day as if it were your last because someday you’re going to be right” -Muhammad Ali. When asked if there is anything he would like to share, Phillip said “thank you Williamsfield Schools teachers and staff for making such a good home for your students. I am proud to call Billtown my home. Go Bombers!”
From all of us at Williamsfield Schools: We are very proud of you Phillip. You have been an integral part of our activities and daily life. You will be sorely missed- as you have made a positive difference in our school. Go out and make that positive difference in the world.and always remember that Billtown, is, indeed, your home.
