Knoxville Community Unit School District 202 Board of Education met Jan. 7.

The Board of Education of Community Unit School District #202, Knox County, met in a special meeting duly called and held January 7, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. at 809 East Main Street, Knoxville, Illinois, which is within the boundaries of said District. The President called the meeting to order and directed that the roll be called. Upon roll being called, the following members were found to be present:
Mr. Ericson, Mr. Johnson, Mr. Lenz, Mrs. McCracken, Mrs. Myers, Mr. Stearns and Mr. Callahan

Also present were: John Pulliam, Patricia Viniard, Nick Ischer
5. Public Comments: None
6. It was moved by Member Johnson and seconded by Member McCracken to Approve Employment of KJHS / KHS Industrial Arts Teacher for the 2020-2021 School Year - Dr. Todd Derham.
Roll call vote was as follows:
AYE: Mr. Ericson, Mr. Johnson, Mr. Lenz, Mrs. McCracken, Mrs. Myers, Mr. Stearns and Mr. Callahan
NAY: None
Whereupon the President declared the motion carried.
7. IASB Executive Search Update: Patricia Viniard spoke to the Board regarding the timeline of the Superintendent Search, survey results and the brochure. The final date to apply is February 4, 2020. IASB will compile a list of the top six candidates and their names and information will be presented to the Board February 11, 2020. The Board will interview the top six on February 26 & 27, 2020 at 6pm, 7pm and 8pm. They will narrow the six down to two or three candidates for the final round of interviews on March 4. The March 4th interviews will have a meeting with a Stakeholder group, consisting of staff, parents and community members, then a meeting with the Board members. After the final round, the Board will make their decision, to be tentatively announced at the March 16th Board meeting.
Mrs. Viniard also went over the brochure to be sent to applicants. It included what was wanted in the next Superintendent and information regarding the school district. Mrs. Viniard’s last item was the comments pulled from the survey. The survey was completed by Board members, staff and community members.
8. Adjournment
There being no further business to come before the Board, it was moved by Member McCracken and seconded by Member Johnson that the meeting be adjourned. The President put the question to the Board and the motion unanimously carried and the meeting so adjourned at 7:50 p.m.
