SAFE HARBOR FAMILY CRISIS CENTER: The main priority of the Safe Harbor Family Crisis Center

Safe Harbor Family Crisis Center issued the following announcement on March 21.

The main priority of the Safe Harbor Family Crisis Center (SHFCC) is maintaining the health and well-being of our clients, staff, and community. We understand the concern and uncertainty surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and are doing our best to monitor the situation closely. At this time, we are taking active measures to prevent the spread of the virus while still providing services to our clients --victims of domestic violence and child abuse.

If you are in an emergency situation: CALL 9-1-1.

Once you are out of immediate danger, call the SHFCC Hotline at (309) 343-7233. Our staff will discuss safety and service options with you. This may include an Order of Protection, emergency shelter, or a safety plan. At this time, because we are limiting in-person contact to limit the spread of the virus, services will be completed via telephone. For now, please call before you come to the SHFCC office.

We will do our best to use good judgement in serving victims in the best way possible, on a case-by-case basis, through this unprecedented time. SHFCC will continue to monitor this situation closely and take the necessary precautions needed to keep everyone healthy.

Safe Harbor Family Crisis Center is located at 1188 West Main St., Galesburg.
