Q2 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Effingham County?

There were four offenders released on parole during the second quarter of 2019 that live in Effingham County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Galesburg Reporter.

The data shows that three men and one woman were released in Effingham County. The median age of the parolees was 27. The youngest parolee was a 20-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2018, and the oldest was a 38-year-old woman sentenced for a financial crime or fraud in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Tristan S. Durre. He was convicted of a sex crime in 2018 when he was 21 years old. He is now 23.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter of 2019 in each Effingham County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
