OSF Holy Family Medical Center issued the following announcement on Feb. 29.

Smoking’s not just bad for the lungs. Even secondhand smoke has been shown to impact cardiovascular health, but within one year after quitting, the risk of coronary heart disease drops to about half that of a smoker’s.
