Jamieson Community Center issued the following announcement on Feb. 1.

Staff Spotlight:

Jodie Martin

While teaching technology at Central Intermediate School in July of 2018, Jodie started tutoring at the Pattee Learning Center after realizing she wanted to invest more time into helping students grow and realize their potential. Almost two years later, Jodie is now changing lives as the Learning Center Coordinator. Growing up, Jodi wanted to be a 911 dispatcher and, indeed, fulfilled her childhood dream! Jodie worked as a 911 dispatcher for four years, and even went to law school and worked at a courthouse!

Now Jodie loves watching her students grow, sharing her love of Mercer Mayer books by reading aloud to her students, and she lives for the “A-Ha!” moments whenever a student learns something difficult. Jodie’s passions range from her students, to using her Cricut to make fun crafts, spending time with her teenagers, and cheering on the St Louis Cardinals! Thank you Jodie, for pouring your heart into each of your students and giving them the tools they need to succeed in and out of the classroom!
