Hinchliff-Pearson-West, Galesburg recently issued the following announcement.
Mr. David von Motz, 67, of Galesburg died at 12:12 p.m., Friday, October 11, 2019 in his home.
David was born March 24, 1952 in Moline, Illinois to Mr. Harold H. and Margaret L (Bormann) von Motz.
He is survived by his brothers Charles (Kim) von Motz and Paul von Motz, both of East Moline, Illinois and one sister Nancy Bigford of East Moline, Illinois.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Paula Pruden.
David lived in many group homes across Illinois; he most recently moved to Galesburg and became a resident of James Court in 2011. David enjoyed eating sweets and watching cartoons.
Cremation will be accorded; there are no services are planned at this time. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services, Galesburg Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
