Knoxville home prices fall in the first half of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2019 in Knoxville fell by $20,000 while total sales remained unchanged with 21 homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2019, there were 21 homes sold, with a median sale price of $80,000 - a 20% decrease over the $100,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 21 homes sold in Knoxville in the first half of 2018, as well.

The median sales tax in Knoxville for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $1,706, approximately 2.1% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2019.
