Watson-Thomas Funeral Home issued the following announcement on Aug. 17.
Did you know there are about 2,500 Military War Dogs in service, with about 700 serving at any given time overseas.
Military War dogs are in service for about 8-9 years, once they retire, their handlers with either adopt them, or they are adopted by law enforcement to serve in the K-9 unit.
