The ROWVA Board of Education met in a special meeting in the High School LMC. The meeting was called to order by Mr. Haynes at 6:00 p.m.
The following members answered roll call at 6:00 p.m.:
Mr. Johnson (Present ☒ Not Present ☐), Mr. Kalb (Present ☒ Not Present ☐), Mr. Kuelper (Present ☒ Not Present ☐), Mr. Lake (Present ☒ Not Present ☐), Mrs. Shepherd (Present ☒ Not Present ☐), Mr. West (Present ☒ Not Present ☐), and Mr. Haynes (Present ☒ Not Present ☐).
Mr. Kuelper moved and Mr. Johnson seconded the motion to accept the agenda for the meeting.

Mr. Sornberger presented the Clean Energy Design solar agreement for review and recommended that it be accepted upon review and approval of district counsel. Mr. West moved and Mr. Johnson seconded the motion. Polled vote: Mr. Johnson (Aye ☒ Nay ☐), Mr. Kalb (Aye ☒ Nay ☐), Mr. Kuelper (Aye ☒ Nay ☐), Mr. Lake (Aye ☒ Nay ☐), Mrs. Shepherd (Aye☒Nay☐), Mr.West (Aye☒ Nay☐), and Mr.Haynes (Aye☒Nay☐). Motion carried.
Mrs. Shepherd moved and Mr. Kuelper seconded the motion to move into closed session to discuss personnel. Polled vote: Mr. Johnson (Aye ☒ Nay ☐), Mr. Kalb (Aye ☒ Nay ☐), Mr. Kuelper (Aye ☒ Nay ☐), Mr. Lake (Aye ☒ Nay ☐), Mrs. Shepherd (Aye ☒ Nay ☐), Mr.West (Aye☒Nay☐), and Mr.Haynes (Aye☒Nay☐). Motion carried.
Mr. Johnson moved and Mr. Lake seconded the motion to return to open session to discuss personnel. Polled vote: Mr.Johnson (Aye☒ Nay☐), Mr. Kalb (Aye ☒ Nay☐), Mr. Kuelper (Aye ☒ Nay ☐), Mr. Lake (Aye ☒ Nay ☐), Mrs. Shepherd (Aye ☒ Nay ☐), Mr. West (Aye ☒ Nay☐), and Mr. Haynes( Aye☒ Nay☐). Motion carried at 6:49p.m.
Mr. Sornberger recommended accepting the resignation of Jen Lee as Elementary RtI Aide at the end of the 2018-2019 school year and to post an opening to replace this position. Mr. Lake moved and Mr. West seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Mr. Sornberger recommended accepting the resignation of Cynthia Lance as Dishwasher and to post an opening to replace this position. Mrs. Shepherd moved and Mr. Kuelper seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Mr. Sornberger recommended accepting the resignation of Brian McGarry as JH Baseball Coach and to post an opening to replace this position. Mr. Kuelper moved and Mr. Johnson seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Mr. Sornberger recommended accepting the retirement of Kelly Nelson (Elementary Teacher) at the end of the 2018-2019 school year and to post an opening to replace this position. Mrs. Shepherd moved and Mr. Lake seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Mr. Kuelper moved and Mr. Johnson seconded the motion to adjourn at 6:51 p.m. Motion carried.
