Old Business:

● Commissioner Bunch asked if anyone followed up with the firefighter’s golf outing to see why they don’t have their outing at Bunker Links. Don and Tony did not talk to Mike Whitson yet. Tony said he would follow up and report back to the Commission next month.

New Business:

● Tony passed out a rate comparison sheet of Bunker Links, Oak Run and Gibson Woods to see how we all compare. Tony also informed the Commission that the rates for 2020 need to be recommended soon. The Commissioners were asked to review the current rates and be ready to discuss and make a recommendation at the June meeting.

● Tony informed the Commission that there will be a demonstration of the Golfboard in June. The Golfboard is a device that is similar to a large skateboard for individual golfers to ride and take his/her bag. Staff is just looking into this possibility. If a decision is made to purchase some Golfboards, we would buy either 4 or 8 of them. The price per Golfboard is a bit lower if 8 or more are purchased. Tony will inform the Commission when a demo date is set.

● Commissioner Reynolds asked if staff could investigate the purchase price of electric push carts to possibly rent. Commissioner Reynolds thinks there may be golfers that would like to walk but don’t want to push a cart so an electric cart would be more suited to this type of golfer.

● Commissioner Selkirk asked about capital projects. Tony said staff would put together a list of capital projects for the golf course with some cost estimates. Tony reminded the Commission that when a capital project list for the golf course is complete, he needs to prioritize that list with all the capital projects for the Department of Parks and Recreation. Then the City needs to prioritize that park and recreation list with all the capital projects for the entire city.

Citizen Comments: ● None

Meeting adjourned at 4:45 P.M.
