State Rep. Dan Swanson (R-Woodhull), who captured his second term in an unopposed election last November, is urging his social media followers to attend an event he is organizing honoring veterans.
The Veterans’ and Seniors’ Resources Fair runs from July 23-26 at four separate locations each day. As event organizer, Swanson will welcome four co-sponsors: Genesis Medical Center & Brookstone of Aledo, Perry Memorial Hospital, Knights of Columbus and the Genesco Moose Lodge.
Each site will showcase exhibits from 25-30 agencies that will help veterans and seniors access helpful resources, according to Swanson’s Facebook post.
“My staff will also be available to assist and answer your questions,” Swanson said. “We will have several breakout sessions throughout the time where specific organizations will provide a short briefing about their services along with a lot of one-on-one opportunities.”
