Q4 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Knox County?

There were 19 offenders released on parole during the fourth quarter that live in Knox County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Galesburg Reporter.

The data shows that 13 men and six women were released in Knox County. The median age of the parolees was 33. The youngest parolee was a 24-year-old woman sentenced for a property crime in 2018, and the oldest was a 47-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving one or more weapons in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Michael R. Eaves. He was convicted of a crime against a person in 2014 when he was 24 years old. He is now 30.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the fourth quarter in each Knox County municipality.
