Knoxville home prices fall in September 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in September 2017 in Knoxville fell by $20,250 while total sales decreased by 37.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In September 2017, there were five homes sold, with a median sale price of $48,500 - a 29.5% decrease over the $68,750 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were eight homes sold in Knoxville in September 2016.

The median sales tax in Knoxville for 2017 was $1,706. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,799. This marks an decrease of 5.2%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 3.5%.
