Knoxville home prices rise in August 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in August 2017 in Knoxville rose by $13,500 while total sales decreased by 44.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In August 2017, there were five homes sold, with a median sale price of $69,000 - a 24.3% increase over the $55,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were nine homes sold in Knoxville in August 2016.

The median sales tax in Knoxville for 2017 was $1,706. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,799. This marks an decrease of 5.2%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.5%.
