Knoxville home prices fall in July 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in July 2017 in Knoxville fell by $17,750 while total sales decreased by 50%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In July 2017, there were three homes sold, with a median sale price of $78,500 - a 18.4% decrease over the $96,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were six homes sold in Knoxville in July 2016.

The median sales tax in Knoxville for 2017 was $1,706. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,799. This marks an decrease of 5.2%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.2%.
