Knoxville home prices rise in the third quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2018 in Knoxville rose by $11,950 while total sales increased by 23.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2018, there were 16 homes sold, with a median sale price of $80,950 - a 17.3% increase over the $69,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 13 homes sold in Knoxville in the third quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Knoxville for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $1,706.10, approximately 2.1% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2018.
