City of Galesburg City Council met February 7. 

Here is the minutes as provided by the council:

Called to order by Mayor John Pritchard at 10:00 a.m.


Roll Call #1: Present: Mayor John Pritchard, Council Members Wayne Dennis, Russell Fleming, Peter Schwartzman, and Wayne Allen, 5. Absent: Council Members Angela Bastian, Corine Andersen, and Jeremy Karlin, 3. Also present were City Clerk Kelli Bennewitz, City Manager Todd Thompson, and City Attorney Bradley Nolden. Mayor Pritchard declared a quorum present.

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Council Member Dennis moved, seconded by Council Member Allen, to approve a lease agreement with Community Power Group for a Community Solar Garden to be located on the unutilized space on the airport property.

Council Member Andersen entered the meeting at 10:02 a.m.

Roll Call #2:

Ayes:    Council Members Dennis, Fleming, Andersen, Schwartzman, and Allen, 5.

Nays:    None

Absent: Council Members Bastian and Karlin, 2.

Chairman declared motion carried.

Council Member Allen moved, seconded by Council Member Andersen, to approve a Power Purchase Agreement with Community Power Group for a Distributed Generation, also known as “behind the meter” photovoltaic system, to supply power to the Water Treatment Plant at Oquawka.

Roll Call #3:

Ayes:    Council Members Dennis, Fleming, Andersen, Schwartzman, and Allen, 5.

Nays:    None

Absent: Council Members Bastian and Karlin, 2.

Chairman declared motion carried.

                                              PUBLIC COMMENT

There being no further business, Council Member Fleming moved, seconded by Council Member Dennis, to adjourn the regular meeting at 10:25 a.m.

Ayes:    Council Members Dennis, Fleming, Andersen, Schwartzman, and Allen, 5.

Nays:    None

Absent: Council Members Bastian and Karlin, 2.

Chairman declared motion carried.
