Administrators in Rowva School District 208 earn an average of $103,887 per year, ranking 333rd out of 864 districts in the state, according to a Galesburg Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2018 average is 13.6% higher than in 2014 and 21.3% higher than in 2009. District administrators make 3.2% less than the state average of $107,279.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

The Knox County school district enrolled 594 students in 2017-18. There is an average of 198 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 181 to 1.
