BANKS AND BEALS FUNERAL HOME - DALLAS CITY: Nikki Tanner Vaughan

Banks And Beals Funeral Home - Dallas City issued the following announcement.

Nikki Lee Tanner Vaughan, 49, of Dallas City, IL passed away December 19, 2018 at her home.

She was born on November 28, 1969 in Fort Madison, IA, the daughter of John and Vicki Ikerd Tanner.

She was a 1988 graduate of the Dallas City High School. Nikki was a very hard working woman. She worked at Methode in Carthage, IL for years. She saw the good in everyone and always put others before herself. She enjoyed shopping listening to music, her Mountain Dew and talking to her sisters everyday. Her greatest love was her three boys, she enjoyed spending time with them.

Nikki is survived by her father, John Tanner of Niota, IL, mother and step-father, Vicki and James May of Niota, three sons, Dakota and Dalton Vaughan both of Dallas City and Chase Lomax of Lima, IL, her boyfriend, Jamie Ellifritz of Carthage, IL, and five siblings, Johnna Bradford of Keokuk, IA, Tracey Bryant of Dallas City, Johnnie Tanner of LaHarpe, IL, Travis Fortune of Niota and Libby Meyer of North Liberty, IA.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

A funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City. Burial will follow in the Harris Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon until time of service Saturday. A memorial fund has been established for the family.
