City of Galesburg issued the following announcement on Nov. 9.
The City of Galesburg is hosting an Open House to provide an opportunity for residents to review the draft Comprehensive Plan and ask questions. The City’s consultant, Houseal Lavigne, will be present at the open house.
The Open House will be open to residents, property and business owners and anyone interested in the Comprehensive Plan. It will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm in the Council Chambers at Galesburg City Hall, 55 W Tompkins Street, Galesburg. There will not be a formal presentation, and guests are welcome to stop by anytime during the open house.
About the Comprehensive Plan
The Galesburg Comprehensive Plan is the blueprint for the City’s future. It is a community vision, intended to guide Galesburg for the next 10-20 years. The Comprehensive Plan will direct future growth and development as laid forth by the community. Additionally, the Plan can lead to potential strategies that will help effectively guide City leaders with making substantive and thoughtful decisions for the community.
