City of Galesburg issued the following announcement on Nov. 6.
Adriana Santoyo is being recognized by the City of Galesburg as the November residential award winner of the Community Improvement Blue Ribbon Award for work on her property at 218 North Henderson Street. She was nominated by Luke Sakalosky and Galesburg Heart and Soul for the improvements, which include new siding and trim painting.
The Community Improvement Blue Ribbon Award is an initiative of the City of Galesburg with the purpose of recognizing Galesburg residents and businesses who have improved the exterior appearance of their property through new landscaping, painting, signage or general cleanup. Nominations are due the 25th of every month with winners displaying a sign during the following month.
The City congratulates this award winner and encourages residents of Galesburg to continue to submit nominations for residential, commercial or industrial improvements. Nomination forms are available on the City’s website, at City Hall in the Planning and Public Works Department, or by calling 309/345-3614 to request a form.
