City of Galesburg issued the following announcement on Aug. 23.
Weather permitting, the Galesburg Sanitary District will be closing Cherry Street from Main to Simmons beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, August 27th, 2018 for sanitary sewer repairs. They plan to have work complete by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 30, 2018. There will be limited local access to Cherry Street via the southbound lane on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
