Alexis Fire Protection District responded to 30 calls in 2017 - 30.4 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Alexis included 27 fires - five structure fires, three vehicle fires and 19 other fires.

In all, the department saw $93,700 in fire loss - or about $3,470 per fire.

The department also received three false calls.

The Alexis Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $525,847 in 2017.
