Maquon Fire Protection District responded to 14 calls in 2017 - 250 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Maquon included 14 fires - six structure fires, one vehicle fire and seven other fires.

In all, the department saw $11,020 in fire loss - or about $787 per fire.

The Maquon Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $58,282 in 2017.
