Graduates earn 309 degrees from Knox College

About 20.4 percent of the 309 degrees and certificates handed out by the Knox College in 2016-17 were to students in Social Sciences programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Galesburg conferred 63 bachelor's degrees in Social Sciences programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in Psychology, General. Data shows the school gave out 35 bachelor's degrees in Psychology, General, followed by 32 bachelor's degrees in Creative Writing and 25 bachelor's degrees in Biology/Biological Sciences, General.

The college enrolled 1,359 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
