Report: Monmouth Roseville spent $8,298 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Monmouth Roseville Community Unit School District 238 is up 5 percent from five years ago, according to a Galesburg Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Warren County school district spent $7,866 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $8,298 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1772 to 1718.

Monmouth Roseville's spending in 2016-17 was 36 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
