Report: ROWVA spent $10,053 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at ROWVA Community Unit School District 208 is up 12 percent from five years ago, according to a Galesburg Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Knox County school district spent $8,952 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $10,053 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 697 to 617.

ROWVA's spending in 2016-17 was 23 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
