Banks And Beals Funeral Home- Dallas recently issued the following announcement.

Paul L. Schroeder, age 94, of Stronghurst, Illinois, passed away Wednesday March 3, 2021 at Oak Lane Nursing & Rehab in Stronghurst. He was born November 24, 1926 near Media, Illinois, the son of Melvin and Viola Mae Hendrickson Schroeder. On February 11, 1948, he married Barbara Klossing in Olena, Illinois. She preceded him in death on October 13, 2010.
Paul was a lifelong farmer in Henderson County. He was a graduate of Stronghurst High School. Two of his favorite things to do were farming and fishing. He was a member of The Stronghurst Christian Church.
Survivors include one son; Ed Schroeder of Burlington, IA, two daughters; Sharon Annegers and Connie Moberg, both of Stronghurst, one grandson; Josh Schroeder, one great grandson; Jacob Schroeder, and one sister; Viola Marie McGuire of Carrollton, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one daughter; Karen Schroeder, one brother; Gene Schroeder, and two sisters; Edna Staley and Gwen Schroeder.
Due to the pandemic, no visitation will be held. A private family graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the Stronghurst Cemetery. Memorials have been established for St. Jude Children’s Hospital and Oak Lane Nursing & Rehab. Please visit Paul’s obituary at banksandbeals.com to sign the guest book and leave a condolence.
